The Wayzata Symphony Orchestra is looking for our next Principal Oboist to start in January of 2027 with the 3rd concert of our season.
There are 5 rehearsals held in the western Twin Cities per concert cycle held on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 – 3:30 and select Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30 with occasional dress rehearsals on Saturdays from 1:00 – 3:30. No rehearsals are held in December, or between June and August.
The audition will consist of:
- One excerpt of our choosing, consistent across all candidates.
- Two excerpts of the candidate’s choosing.
- 5 minutes of a solo work of the candidate’s choosing.
